About Me

Welcome to my blog and my ‘About Me’ page!About Me - The Confessions of an Online ShopaholicI’m Jenny and I’m a 20-year-old from a town in the North West of England in the Cheshire region.

I am a self-confessed shopaholic (as you can probably guess from the blog title), and I admit to spending my wage as soon as I get it on shopping online (which I’m sure a lot of you can relate to).

About Me

What Is My Background?

I ended up finishing my last year of college in 2016 after 3 years of trying to achieve the A-Level grades I was happy with. I ended up with Biology, Geography and Psychology A-Level and an AS-Level in Chemistry. People have continually asked me about why I chose not to go to university, but I guess after doing the same A-Levels for 3 years, I decided I needed some time out of education to discover who I really am and what I really aspire to do in life.

About Me

What Do I Do For A Living?

I am currently working in a Pharmacy, as a Dispensary Assistant to utilise the science knowledge I acquired over the years. I am still trying to figure out if science is the true route I want to take in life.

What Are My Passions?

I have always had a passion for Graphic Design (which I know is completely different from the science orientated subjects I have picked), although I never carried my passion through beyond doing the subject during my GCSEs. This is why I created my blog, as I always enjoyed website design and making my own graphics. I really like the aspect of a good challenge trying to learn about how websites work and all the technical jargon that comes with learning how to set up a website.

I enjoy Geography and exploring other cultures that are different from my own. I’m Chinese myself, but I was born in the UK, so that means I am bilingual. I live by the quote that “travelling makes a person richer” because interacting with other people from different ethnicities and religious backgrounds allow you to be more open-minded towards how other people live; their beliefs and the languages they speak; and generally makes you more accepting of other people around you.

I love to travel around my own country and countries around the world. I’m always seeking the inner peace and joy I feel when I can really appreciate the surroundings I’m in. Also, how lucky I feel to be able to travel across the oceans or jump on a train to a different region of the UK to enjoy the views that I wouldn’t see on a daily basis.

About Me

Most of all, my favourite hobby (you guessed it) is shopping online! Over the years I’ve mastered the art of hunting down voucher codes to reduce the cost of things so that the money saved can go towards more shopping. I hope I can help some of you with saving your pennies for a rainy day (as in for a sale on a later date)!
