A Night In With The Body Shop – Get the Himalayan Glow (Review)

Who doesn’t love a good pamper night after a long week? If you want to know what you can do to create an in-home spa with The Body Shop, keep reading!

The Body Shop

Self-care is so important and we’re all guilty of never having enough time to ourselves to actually look after ourselves. But, if you manage to find some time in your busy schedule, treat yourself to a spa evening!

I have sensitive skin, so finding products that are pleasant on my skin can be a bit of a challenge. Recently, I have fallen in love with The Body Shop products, as they seem to calm my skin down, rather than causing it to flare up, which is a miracle considering even pH-balanced shower gel causes my skin to flare up!

British Rose Petal – Soft Bath Foam

I started off by running a bubble bath with my favourite British Rose Petal-Soft Bath Foam by The Body Shop and you only need approximately a teaspoon amount to create a lot of bubbles. No pamper evening is complete without a bubble bath after all!

Light some candles and jump onto Spotify or YouTube to get a soothing playlist going to add some atmosphere. Turn off the lights and let the candles light the room, this will all really help you to relax, I promise!

Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask – The Body Shop

The next product is a new one from The Body Shop, which I think everyone is raving about! It is the Expert Facial Masks collection! I decided to try the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask. I love the invigorating sensation the mask leaves on your skin! You can definitely tell that the charcoal is trying to draw out the impurities in your skin and help to absorb any excess oil on your skin.

The green tea in the mask is an antioxidant, so it helps to draw out the dirt and oil in your skin. The tea tree oil helps to kill bacteria and leaves the skin feeling refreshed. The texture of the mask also acts as an exfoliant to help remove dead skin cells to leave your skin feeling healthy and giving you the ‘glow’ that the product suggests!

After the bubble bath, I don’t know if I’m just that weird, extra-hygienic person, but I normally like to rinse off after a bubble bath with shower gel. But, also because if I don’t do this step, the bath foam product causes irritation to my skin. So, for this step I like to use the British Rose Shower Gel, which is very gentle to my skin and the fragrance of this shower gel is like Spring in a bottle, considering I love floral fragrances!

To finish the pamper session, I couldn’t resist but add to my British Rose collection with the British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter. I think it’s always important to rehydrate your skin, especially with the transition from Spring to Summer. This means that the days are getting warmer, so your skin becomes drier. The body butter is non-sticky, light-weight and very nourishing, and is definitely the perfect way to end a stress-relieving evening to yourself!

Love it! I especially love the sound of the Charcoal mask – I love Charcoal masks in general, they’re amazing for my skin, so I must try this one out! Great post! xx
