TELL US WHAT THE CAMPAIGN IS!!!
The wait is finally over! I can finally reveal that this campaign is something I couldn’t feel more suited to. I’ve worked with this brand before, and you can read about the post that sparked off the collaboration here!
The campaign is with CETRABEN!
If you’ve experienced dry, problematic and eczema-prone skin, you most likely would have heard about Cetraben. It is estimated that 15 million people in the UK suffer from eczema (atopic dermatitis), and I, and many friends and relatives of mine suffer from it too. Approximately, 27-million prescriptions were written for topical products in 2015, according to Allergy UK. This is why many of us sufferers may have come across Cetraben, as it is an emollient-based range.
What Did I Do For The Campaign?
I travelled to London for a day for a photo and video shoot, as part of the ‘Skinspirational Campaign’. We took many product pictures, and portrait photography to use on Social Media. I was part of a dream team of 5 other beautiful ladies, who were also promoting the campaign, with one of the lovely ladies being Nadia Sawalha. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be involved in this kind of campaign, as it is something I can really relate to, and tell a personal story from the heart. I had to shoot a 1-minute video explaining how eczema has affected my life, and how Cetraben has helped me.

Life After the Campaign
I still use the Cetraben Lotion throughout the day, Cetraben Cream at night, and the Cetraben Cleansing Lotion as a soap-substitute. My skin still goes through bad periods, where it flares up very aggressively. However, the Cetraben products help to keep it under control, and I use them in combination with prescribed topical steroids. I’ve actually got a referral with a Dermatologist, who can hopefully investigate the trigger of my eczema. It has been a grey area for me for quite some time. Despite lots of lifestyle changes, I still can’t figure out what causes the massive flare ups. There will be more updates on this to follow!
Even if you don’t suffer from eczema, this product line is still fantastic for those who suffer normal to dry skin. I’d definitely recommend the Cetraben Lotion for use on the face – it is lightweight, and doesn’t have an oily consistency. I even use the Lotion before I fake tan on areas that are more prone to being dry, as it ensures that my fake tan is even. The Cleansing Lotion is also a good alternative to conventional face cleansers, as it is less harsher on the skin, and moisturises at the same time. The Cream is fantastic to use throughout the day and night to keep your skin moisturised.
The Secret is Out!
Thank you to Cetraben for giving me the platform to share my story, and how we can’t let eczema take over our lives!
